MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – A complex for predicting drone attacks has been designed in Belarus, representatives of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus told BelTA.

The software and hardware complex ALS Scanner has been developed by InnoTech Solutions Company. It enables passive monitoring of air space and allows detecting potential threats to infrastructure installations in the form of low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), including those operating in a radio silence mode. The scanner can detect drones early, predict their trajectory, and determine the spatial position and flight parameters of low-altitude drones.

The complex leverages passive acoustic detection, with sensors registering sound waves from propeller blades or from the drone’s internal combustion engine. The data is processed by software to calculate flight parameters and predict the consequent trajectory of the drone.

The drone scanner can be used in standalone mode or as part of complex security systems, which enable reliable protection of infrastructure installations when it is highly probable that the adversary will use airborne weapons.
