Belarusian border service reports new facts of Lithuanian violence against migrants

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – The State Border Committee of Belarus has detected more evidence of the use of violence by Lithuanian law enforcement agencies against migrants, BelTA learned from Anton Bychkovsky, a spokesman of the State Border Committee of Belarus.

According to the source, despite multiple statements by Lithuanian law enforcement agencies, which claim they observe human rights without fault, Belarusian border guards continue registering facts of inhumanely cruel treatment of refugees.

Another group of foreigners was transported to the Lithuanian-Belarusian border in the area controlled by the Lida branch of the Belarusian border service. A video has been recorded. In this video the migrants demonstrate the bodily injuries they have received due to interaction with Lithuanian law enforcement agencies, the source noted.
