Belarus’ State Control Committee steps up nationwide monitoring to fulfill president's order

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ State Control Committee will carry out nationwide monitoring to brief the president on the fulfillment of his instruction to restore order by 7 November, BelTA learned from Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasily Gerasimov after the official delivered a report to the head of state.

“There was the strictest instruction from the head of state to restore order by 7 November. Today, the president was presented with an intermediate result of such monitoring. Work is underway, with district organizations involved (road workers, foresters, the youth union, teachers, and others). However, we note that the work being done is mainly of an external nature: painting, whitewashing, removal of organic waste, garbage collection,” Vasily Gerasimov said.

According to him, the president emphasized that, of course, this work is necessary and order must be maintained. But attention should also be paid to broader issues for which instructions had been given. “Issues with feed quality and feeding rations remain in place. The same is true for veterinary issues, including reproduction, livestock mortality, and everything else. We have not seen any significant progress in these areas,” the commitee’s chairman stated.

“In addition, the head of state instructed that such monitoring should be carried out throughout the entire country. Therefore, we will be working all weekend, and at the beginning of next week, the president has instructed us to provide him with a report on the situation across the country,” Vasily Gerasimov added.
