MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) - Within 24 hours, the queue of passenger cars waiting to enter Poland increased from 20 to more than 900 vehicles, the Belarusian State Border Committee told BelTA.
Some 758 cars are waiting in front of the Polish border checkpoint Terespol (Brest on the Belarusian side). Another 100 cars are waiting to enter Poland near Kuznica Bialostocka (Bruzgi) and 55 in front of Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa). On average, the Polish checkpoints have processed 27% of the normal number of vehicles over the past 24 hours.
A total of 310 trucks are waiting in front of the Lithuanian checkpoints Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side) and Salcininkai (Benyakoni). The Lithuanian checkpoints have cleared 28% of the normal number of trucks over the past day.
At least 258 trucks are queuing to enter Poland through the Kukuryki checkpoint (Kozlovichi) and another 40 trucks through the Bobrowniki checkpoint (Berestovitsa).
