MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – A group of Algerian children will vacation at the National Children’s Educational and Recreation Center Zubrenok in 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Education Ministry.

This agreement was reached during a meeting in Algeria between Belarus’ Education Minister Andrei Ivanets and Minister of National Education of Algeria Mohamed Saghir Saadawi. “During productive talks, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and reached important agreements. Among them is that a group of Algerian children will vacation and recuperate at the National Children’s Educational and Recreation Center Zubrenok in 2026. An agreement was also reached on cooperation in holding academic Olympiads for schoolchildren, which will become a new vector for the development of academic ties between schoolchildren of the two countries,” the press service informed.

Furthermore, the Algerian side expressed particular interest in the system of scientific and methodological support for general secondary education in Belarus, including the practices of the Academy of Education, a key national center in developing guidelines for teachers. The press service of the Belarusian Education Ministry added that such meetings confirm Belarus’ commitment to developing international dialogue in education and exchanging best practices for the benefit of the younger generation.
