Lukashenko: The USA has got its wealth by means of developing countries

VITEBSK, 2 September (BelTA) - The United States has achieved all its wealth at the expense of developing countries, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the Q&A session titled “Open Microphone with the President” at Vitebsk State University on 2 September, BelTA has learned.

The president stated that many people often admire the United States of America, and this comes for a reason: many technologies were developed there. However, there is a fine nuance here. “They print money. They can inject any money in development. Thanks to this they have achieved certain resources. They, like a vacuum cleaner, pulled the best minds from all over the world, paid them good money, and they developed these technologies,” the head of state explained.

He said the United States had even managed to bend and humiliate Germany with its most powerful economy. “Businesses that used to worked in Germany have all transferred to the United States of America. Why did they do it? Because they created good conditions there. They became in many ways monopolistic and powerful after World War II. They did it at our expense. They produce almost a third of the world's wealth at our expense. As long as they monopolize the dollar and print it, they will stay in the lead,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The president added that new players (China, India and other countries) were emerging on the geopolitical arena. These countries have reached a very high level of development and do not agree with the current world order.

The head of state recalled how nuclear weapons were developed. Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of the Soviet Union, the United States, despite all attempts, did not succeed in becoming a monopolist in this field. “What if this had not happened? What if today there were no Soviet nuclear shield, which is concentrated in Russia? We would not exist then. Today they do not know what to do with us: if they try to get tough, they will get a nuclear response. This means the whole planet will cease to exist. They do not want to die, because they have a very good life, I mean those who make decisions there,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
