Belarus, Russia approve three new Union State standardization plans

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Committee for Standardization (Gosstandart) and the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) have signed three standardization plans of the Union State, the press service of Gosstandart told BelTA.

One of the plans for 2026-2030 concerns electric buses: it provides for the development of 10 standards for road vehicles with electric drive, charging systems, and batteries.

In addition, a plan for 2026-2029 related to freight vehicles was signed: it provides for the development and updating of 26 standards for road transport, including trucks and trailers. A plan in machine tool building for 2026-2030 was also signed: it includes the development of 40 standards for various types of machine tools and equipment.

The documents were signed by Yelena Morgunova, Chair of Gosstandart, and Anton Shalaev, Head of Rosstandart.
