Export of services by Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park 12% up in 2025

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – The export of services by the Hi-Tech Park increased by 12% in 2025. The figure was mentioned by Anna Ryabova, Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Hi-Tech Park, before the board’s session chaired by Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin began on 27 February, BelTA has learned.

Two items were on the Supervisory Board’s session’s agenda. The first one is the regulation of cryptocurrency trading. “All of us know that it is a new area that gives rise both to hopes and to apprehensions. This is why we traditionally report to the Supervisory Board about the state of this sector and suggest balanced decisions that improve the legal regulation of these operations in addition to making the legal regulation more precise,” Anna Ryabova noted.
At present only 20 companies residing in the Hi-Tech Park deal with cryptocurrency trading. They represent less than 2% of the total number. The share is small but the growth rates are high, she stressed.

The Hi-Tech Park is home to over 1,000 companies. Over 60 applications have already been filed since the beginning of the year and are now going through the selection process.

The second item on the agenda was assistance with export promotion. “As a matter of principle, the Hi-Tech Park is an export-oriented special legal zone. We had good results last year: the export growth rate totaled 112%, we went over $2 billion. The number of resident companies increased. The geography of shipments is getting larger. The indicators truly make me glad,” she said.

According to Anna Ryabova, the situation in the world changes all the time. This is why in addition to submitting routine reports to the board it is necessary to suggest a strategic vision of the park’s development.
The key task the Hi-Tech Park is supposed to accomplish this year is to grow a new pool of companies in addition to raising earnings and increasing export. “We are seriously looking into the startup movement. The first results have been produced. From a young age we would like to nurture companies that understand how to operate on world export markets and we would like to develop their ambitions and skills,” noted the head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Hi-Tech Park.

The Supervisory Board also had to clarify conditions for grant beneficiaries and holders of Hi-Tech Park scholarships. “The Supervisory Board gave a preliminary approval to the approaches but requested the working group to clarify individual provisions. We suggested corrected variants to the Board today,” Anna Ryabova said.
