MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko suggested adjusting preschool opening hours to parents’ needs as he spoke at a meeting with activists of the Belarusian Women’s Union on 5 March, BelTA has learned.
“The work-family balance, most comfortable conditions for self-realization in career and as a mother is one of the priority tasks. We have given women the opportunity to work part-time, have flexible working hours or work remotely, for example, at home. Now you can earn money and do housework without spending time traveling to the office. This is only the beginning,” the head of state said. “We need to take a look at preschool working hours and make them more family-friendly. The same is true about primary school, you should feel confident that children are taken care of until the evening, if necessary. Then you will need no ‘work-from-home’ mode,” the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko called to remember that the true purpose of a woman is motherhood. “No matter how the LGBT agenda is pushed forward in the West (unfortunately, this trend may have been coming to us as well), no one can give birth to a child except a woman. A woman is the guardian of the family hearth and a keeper of the traditional foundations of our society. By raising children as patriots, you strengthen the state, lay a reliable foundation for the future of our Belarus. Therefore, give birth, raise and take care of our children, and we will do our best to ensure peace and prosperity,” the Belarusian leader.
