MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) – Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Varankov made a statement regarding a provocative event planned in Warsaw, BelTA reports.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned that an anti-Belarusian event is scheduled in Warsaw, at Pilsudski Square and the University of Warsaw for 9-10 August. The organizers and active participants are representatives of the Belarusian emigre community, supported by Warsaw and known for their destructive and provocative activities. The ministry believes that such hostile actions do not contribute to the restoration of dialogue between our states and directly damage Belarusian-Polish relations," Ruslan Varankov said.
In this regard, the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Poland in Belarus was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented with a corresponding note.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus will continue to monitor the development of the situation, reserving the right to take necessary retaliatory measures against any provocative actions," Ruslan Varankov emphasized.
