MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – The annual mass sporting event Minsk Ski Track has concluded at the Raubichi Winter Sports Center, BelTA has learned.
The day’s largest race was the competition for teams representing national government bodies. A total of 22 quartets lined up for the biathlon relay, competing for medals in two separate categories. Posting the overall best time was the quartet from the Ministry of Sports, which included Minister Sergei Kovalchuk, finishing first among agencies with fewer than 100 staff members.
Silver in this category was claimed by the team from the Ministry of Culture, with Minister Ruslan Chernetsky on the final leg, while bronze was secured by the quartet from the Ministry of Energy, led by Minister Denis Moroz.
Among agencies with over 100 employees, the team from the Ministry of Taxes and Duties emerged victorious, with Minister Dmitry Kiyko running the final leg. Second place went to the quartet from the National Bank of Belarus, while the quartet from the Ministry of Education rounded out the top three.
Also taking part in the race were Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Artur Karpovich, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Sergei Maslyak, Minister of Industry Andrei Kuznetsov, and Minister of Communications and Informatization Kirill Zalesky.
In total, Minsk Ski Track 2026 gathered more than 200 participants. The best time in the relay of senior government bodies was posted by the quartet from the Minsk City Executive Committee, in the race of law enforcement ministries and agencies the employees of the State Border Committee took first place, and in the women’s ski relay the representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus claimed victory.
