Belarus, Cuba explore ways to implement bilateral agreements

MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba Vitaly Borchuk met with President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba Antonio Carricarte Corona, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Havana.

During the talks, the parties thoroughly discussed a wide range of issues on the trade and economic agenda. In particular, they reviewed the state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation both in supplying Belarusian goods to the Cuban market and in other areas important for Havana, such as ensuring food security, agricultural mechanization, mineral extraction, and access to quality medical products.

The parties reaffirmed their readiness to develop long-term mutually beneficial strategic partnership.

Additionally, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba discussed the progress in implementing the Belarusian-Cuban agreements reached in 2025. They also identified areas for further work within the framework of the Business Council of the two countries’ chambers of commerce and the Belarusian-Cuban joint commission on trade and economic cooperation.
