MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov will visit New York from 23 to 27 September as the head of a Belarusian delegation, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The Belarusian delegation will take part in the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the visit, the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs will deliver a speech at the General Debate of the General Assembly, and will participate in a number of events focused on international and regional security, sustainable development, and human rights.
Meetings are scheduled with colleagues from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East countries, and with representatives of key international organizations.
The discussions will center on current issues on the international agenda, enhancing cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally, and promoting Belarus’ national interests.
