MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – No one is going to attack Ukraine. This fact was also emphasized during the recent telephone conversation between the defense ministers of Belarus and Ukraine, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said at a press conference in Minsk on 16 February, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, the phone conversation was held on the initiative of Kiev. The minister stressed that Belarus stays committed to an open dialogue on any sensitive issue.
“All the issues were discussed in a positive spirit. Many things were clarified for both parties, first of all for the Ukrainian side. Belarus made it absolutely clear that no one is going to attack Ukraine,” the minister said.
