
MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – The agricultural output by all types of agricultural producers (state-run enterprises, private farms, subsidiary plots of individuals) reached Br6.5 billion in Belarus in January- April 2024, up by 6.9% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA has learned from the National Statistics Committee.
Agricultural enterprises manufactured Br6.4 billion worth of products, up by 7.2% in comparable prices year-on-year.
The enterprises of all categories produced 613,000 tonnes of livestock and poultry (in live weight), which was up by 3.1% year-on-year, 2,865,000 tonnes of milk (up by 8.2%), 1.202 billion eggs (up by 19%).
Agricultural organizations accounted for 97.4% of the national production of livestock and poultry (in live weight), 98.5% of milk, and 91.2% of eggs.
As of 1 May 2024, agricultural enterprises had 4.1 million head of cattle, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs stood at 2.3 million.
