Aliyev: Belarus-Azerbaijan relations not burdened with any problems

BAKU, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarus-Azerbaijan relations are not burdened with any problems, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said during the talks with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Baku on 14 April, BelTA has learned.

The president of Azerbaijan noted that the countries successfully develop cooperation in politics and economy. According to him, Belarus and Azerbaijan have gained momentum and are developing in all areas.

“We regularly exchange visits. All this demonstrates our close political interaction, the high level of trust, and result-driven efforts,” Ilham Aliyev said. “Our relations are not burdened with any problems at all. Regular contacts enable us to take stock of joint activities, outline further steps, and move forward as two friends, two partners,” he added.

BelTA reported earlier that the two heads of state are meeting in the Zagulba Palace located 40km away from Baku. The presidential palace stands on the bank of the Caspian Sea and serves as a venue for official meetings and talks.

On 13 April, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev held a long informal meeting.
