Under the Roads of Belarus program for 2026-2030, at least 25,000 km of roads will be brought up to standard. In Minsk Oblast, several major projects are underway, including the ongoing renovation of the M3 Minsk–Vitebsk highway into a four-lane expressway. The section from Logoisk to Pleshchenitsy opened over a year ago, and the four-lane route will now extend another 21 km to the Vitebsk Oblast border, with concrete paving throughout.
Bridges are also getting attention. A new bridge is being built on the approach to Vileika from the R28 highway, featuring a roundabout, bike and pedestrian paths with modern lighting, and a new embankment. The project is nearly 80% complete and is set to open in September 2026. The old 1959 bridge over the Vilia River will then be dismantled.
