MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – On 29 June 2021 the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the prolongation of price caps for staple products in Belarus through 23 September 2021, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus.

“In addition to that, price controls will not apply to production and import of baby food, salt, black tea and instant coffee. Discounts will amount to up to 10% for the new assortment for companies where the actual profitability of sales in 2020 was under 10%,” the press service informed.

The changes regarding the prolongation of price controls take effect after official publication and are applicable to the activities undertaken starting from 30 June 2021.
