More than 20 countries featured at Spring in Gomel exhibition

GOMEL, 20 May (BelTA) - Representatives of 24 countries are taking part in the 22nd edition of the Spring in Gomel international exhibition which will be running in the city of Gomel till 27 May. Such information was announced at the exhibition launch event on 20 May, BelTA has learned.

This year Spring in Gomel is running in a hybrid format: the Business Spring digital platform and the Gomel Spring national artisans festival (21-23 May).

A total of 360 representatives from 24 countries have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. These are Belarus, Australia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Israel, India, Iran, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, UAE, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Chad.

Leaders and representatives of diplomatic missions, authorities and chambers of commerce and industry joined the exhibition opening online broadcast.

This year's business program is focused on deepening interregional contacts, said Marina Filonova, Director General of the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and industry (BelCCP).

President of the Sichuan Association in Russia and CIS countries Zeng Aiguo noted that in recent years China and Belarus have been actively working to promote mutually beneficial cooperation.

Bilateral relations continue to develop in many avenues. "The Sichuan Association has the opportunity to attract investors to implement various projects in Belarus," Zeng Aiguo stressed.

The forum features more than 30 events: 13 regional meetings, 4 webinars. More than 70 companies from Gomel Oblast will represent nine industries and take part in the negotiations.

The roundtable "An artisan: entrepreneur or self-employed. The experience of interaction with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry" will focus on ways to preserve and promote cultural heritage, arts and crafts, and will discuss current and promising models of partnership in many areas.

More than 100 participants from all regions of Belarus will gather for the 7th national artisans festival Gomel Spring. For the first time it will be located on the Kievsky slope of the Gomel palace and park ensemble. Artisans will present their works: jewelry, blacksmiths, interior items, ceramics, clothing and more.

Spring in Gomel has been organized by the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
