Minister: Construction industries of Belarus, Russia have great cooperation prospects

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – The construction complexes of Belarus and Russia have great potential for cooperation, Belarus Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said at a working meeting with representatives of the Russian construction industry, BelTA learned from the press service of the Architecture and Construction Ministry of Belarus.

During the meeting, the Russian companies presented their products, as well as services in construction of residential and non-residential buildings and roads.

According to Ruslan Parkhamovich, it is important that such a meeting at the ministry's headquarters is attended by representatives of the Belarusian embassy, ​​the National Association of Construction Industry Participants of Russia and Russian companies. “We are interested in expanding partnerships with the Russian Federation, including at the level of businesses. The construction industries of Belarus and Russia have everything in place to intensify cooperation,” he stressed.

Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko expressed confidence that this meeting will be useful for the two countries and that mutually beneficial projects will be implemented in the near future. “We see that Russia can offer many things that can be used in Belarus' construction sector. We have built well-developed construction industries, we should discuss cooperation proposals in all the areas and implement projects making the most of the resources of the Union State,” he said. The ambassador added that bilateral agreements may be translated into large-scale investment projects in the future.

In turn, President of the National Association of Construction Industry Participants Aleksandr Loshchenko thanked his Belarusian counterparts for the opportunity to be at this meeting. He noted that its results should become the basis for exploring and promoting new avenues of cooperation, which will make a significant contribution to the economy and overall development of the two countries.
