Belarus to build over 10 social facilities in Russia before late 2025

MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry plans to build over 10 facilities of social infrastructure in Russia before the end of 2025, Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich told the media ahead of the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on 2 March, BelTA has learned.

“The main driving force behind the export of Belarusian construction services is our holding company Belstroycenter. The company is now simultaneously building about five social infrastructure facilities in the Leningrad and Kaluga regions. We also have good prospects for cooperation with Bryansk and Pskov regions. In general, we are planning to implement more than 12 such projects in the Russian Federation before the end of 2025,” said Ruslan Parkhamovich.

As for housing construction in Russia, major developers from Minsk and the Gomel house-building factory are working in this area. “We are constantly increasing the number of Belarusian contractors in the Russian Federation,” the minister added.

Ruslan Parkhamovich praised the performance of construction organizations last year. “Profitability in the industry was 7%,” he said. Profit from sales for 2020 increased by 48%, as against 2019. According to the minister, wages in the sector showed a good growth, up 13%.

The main areas the ministry plans to focus on this year are unfinished construction, rental housing market, electric housing, as well as integrated individual housing development.
