Belarus' Krichevtsementnoshifer investment up 2.8 times in 2020

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) - The growth of manufacturing investment of Krichevtsementnoshifer totaled 282% in 2020, BelTA learned from the website of Belarusian Cement Company.

“Last year, Belarusian Cement Company invested more than Br6.7 million in Krichevtsementnoshifer enterprises, excluding VAT. The growth made up 282% against 2019. The largest investments, Br4.2 million, were injected in Prefabricated Reinforced Concrete Plant No.3 in Vitebsk. In November, a new line was launched there to produce paving slabs and kerbs with a capacity of 400m2 of tiles given an 8-hour shift,” the company said.

According to the Belarusian Cement Company, Krichevtsementnoshifer is gearing up to put another modern hollow core slab production line into operation in Vitebsk by late March 2021.

Krichevtsementnoshifer is one of the country's largest companies specializing in the production of building materials. The first cement was produced at the plant in 1933 and the first batch of slate was made in February 1950. The main consumers of Krichevtsementnoshifer's products are construction, repair and construction organizations, house-building plants, factories of concrete products and sand-lime materials, trade organizations in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. The company has six subsidiaries.
