
MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) - Some 9 million tonnes of grain has been threshed in Belarus so far, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
Grain growers have reached the next million-tonne milestone.
“As of the same date last year, the harvest was 1,383,000 tonnes less. We are heading for a record,” the ministry said.
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast - 2.258 million tonnes, Grodno Oblast – 1.743 million tonnes, Brest Oblast – 1.683 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast – 1.261 million tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 1.050 million tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast – 1.006 million tonnes.
