MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – About 350 applications have been submitted as part of the Regional Initiative since the beginning of 2025. About 50 applications were submitted in January-February 2026. As many as 180 applications with the total cost of about Br4 billion have been approved, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.
Most of the Regional Initiative projects focus on manufacturing. In particular, the projects focus on food industry, woodworking, production of construction materials, machines and equipment, on chemical industry.
Seven business ideas concerning the services sector have also been added to the pool: organization of leisure and entertainment, medical services.
As many as 47 investment projects on the Regional Initiative list have already received the funding they need from banks. Active work with organizations is in progress on the other projects.
