100 Ideas for Belarus project hailed as good stepping stone for young innovators

GOMEL, 29 November (BelTA) – The 100 Ideas for Belarus project is a good stepping stone for young innovators, Andrei Belyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of Belarus' Council of the Republic, First Secretary of the BRSM Youth Union's Central Committee, told the media on 29 November, BelTA informs.

According to Andrei Belyakov, the project offers an opportunity to support gifted young people, find talents, aspiring scientists and researchers. Since the project was launched, the participants have come up with over 11,000 developments, many of which have been successfully implemented. “The project has got the attention of businessmen and investors. They offer young people different options of cooperation. Thus, 100 Ideas for Belarus can be named a good stepping stone for young innovators,” Andrei Belyakov said.

Gomel is hosting the city stage of the national contest 100 Ideas for Belarus on 29 November. Young people of Gomel presented to experts 29 projects in all kinds of fields: healthcare, energy saving, IT, industrial technology, and manufacturing. The list of developments includes a milling machine with 3D printing capabilities, an automatic emergency call device, a Raspberry Pi tablet, and an automated hydroponic control system. The participants also held an open dialogue headlined “Youth. Science. Business. Innovations”.

Authors of three best projects of the 100 Ideas for Belarus' city stage will be awarded certificates to carry out a market research.
