MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) – A 16-year-old Ukrainian girl, who recruited Belarusian teenagers for terrorist attacks in Belarus, explained true reasons behind her moving to Belarus in an investigative film released by the Belarusian TV channel ONT, BelTA has learned.

Two years ago Maria Misyuk’s parents presented her with the fact that the decision to move to Belarus had been made. The decision was made in order to prevent their daughter from joining an underground nationalist resistance movement behind their backs. “Why not? I like Belarus. I went to Minsk for the first time in 2006. I liked the city a lot. Excellent and broad avenues. Lots of greenery. A metro system. Very quiet and calm. And there were no language or cultural barriers. Belarusians are softer and calmer people,” Maria’s father said.

But the daughter has never hidden her contempt for Belarusians. A proposal from the National Liberation Army, which operates under the aegis of Ukraine’s security agencies, to create a cell of the anarchist movement Black Nightingales for the sake of staging terrorist attacks in Belarus was accepted favorably.
