MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Opportunities for doing business in Belarus were presented in the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of the Belarusian Economy Day, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
Over 60 German businessmen and a group of Belarusian managers, who were in Germany as part of the Belarusian-German young executive personnel training program, took part in the Belarusian Economy Day.
Ambassador of Belarus to Germany Denis Sidorenko came forward with a presentation of Belarus' economic potential. Attention was drawn to opportunities for doing business in Belarus using the potential and favorable framework conditions in free economic zones, small and medium towns, the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, and the Hi-Tech Park in Minsk.
Additional opportunities for reaching the 180-million strong market of the Eurasian Economic Union via Belarus were emphasized as well as Belarus' advantageous geographical position as a transportation and logistics link between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Bonn/Rhine-Sieg Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged a business matchmaking session, during which representatives of the business circles of Belarus and Germany were able to establish direct contacts and negotiate trade deals.
Denis Sidorenko held a number of meetings, during which the sides discussed prospects of advancing cooperation between Belarus and the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg region. Practical steps for interaction between the Belarusian diplomatic mission and the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg Chamber of Commerce and Industry were sketched out.More about Economy
