Belarus' oil import 20.8% down in 2016

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – In 2016 Belarus imported 18.1 million tonnes of crude oil, 20.8% down from 2015, BelTA learned from the website of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

In 2016 Belarus imported nearly $4 billion worth of oil, down from $5.7 billion in 2015. The price for one tonne of oil averaged $218.7 in 2016 and $247.3 in 2015.

In 2016 Belarus imported 1.7 million tonnes of oil products (4% up) worth a total of $565 million. The price for one tonne of oil products averaged $329, up from $309 in 2015.

In 2016 Belarus exported 1.617 million tonnes of oil (0.1% up from 2015) to the tune of $471.6 million (18.6% down). Apart from that, Belarus exported 13 million tonnes of oil products (12.7% down) to the tune of $4 billion (down from $6.8 billion in 2015).
