The outcome of the Russia-Ukraine peace talks organized in Gomel Oblast on 28 February inspires cautious optimism. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement at a conference, which was held on 1 March and gathered members of the Security Council and top officials of the Council of Ministers.
