
MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – Yahor Rabtsau of Belarus clinched bronze at the 2025 Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships which is underway in Wuxi, China, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian finished third in the Junior Men’s Foil, securing five wins in six bouts. Yahor Rabtsau defeated Ukrainian athletes Artem Korzhovoi-Lerner and Yaroslav Muruhin, Antoine Spichiger of France, Raphael Tan of Singapore, and Radmir Semeneev of Uzbekistan. In the semifinal the Belarusian fencer lost to Russia’s Aleksandr Kerik.
Yahor Rabtsau brought Belarus the first medal at the 2025 Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships. The U20 event featured a total of 160 athletes. The Cadet Men’s Foil and the Cadet Women’s Foil events are due to take place on 11 April. Team events will take place on 12 April. Epee events are scheduled for 13 and 15 April.
