MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes have won ten medals at the Fujairah Open 2026 international taekwondo tournament in the United Arab Emirates, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports Ministry.
The final day of the tournament featured medal contests for under-15 boys and girls. Victory in the boys’ under 45 kg weight category was secured by Belarus’ Ivan Strunets, second place in the under 49 kg category was taken by Maksim Plyshevsky, and Yevgeniya Shubina made it to the third step of the podium in the under 44 kg category.
Earlier, Belarusian athletes had won four medals in the adult competitions, and three more Belarusians became medalists in the junior bouts. The overall result for the Belarusian delegation in Fujairah is ten medals (three gold, two silver, five bronze).
