Belarusian teams gearing up for UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – Belarusian football clubs will play their UEFA Europa Conference League second-leg qualifying matches on 29 July, BelTA has learned.

FC BATE Borisov has the best chance of qualifying for the next stage, after defeating FC Dinamo Batumi 1-0 in an away match a week ago. Pavel Nekhaichik scored the winner in the 83rd minute. Today's match at Borisov Arena will start at 20:00 local time. The winner will face either Petrocub Moldova or Sivasspor Turkey in the third qualification round. The Turkey won the first leg 1-0 in Chisinau on 22 July.

FC Dinamo Brest will try to take revenge in Yerevan after losing 1-2 to Plzen. The winner will next face either FK Zalgiris or TNS Wales. TNS won the first leg 5-0.

FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk will also try to rehabilitate for the defeat to Luxembourg Fola 1-2. After the loss, Soligorsk head coach Roman Grigorchuk stepped down to be replaced by famous Belarusian specialist Sergei Gurenko, for whom today's game will be the first one in his new position. The winner of the round will play either Linfield or Borac. FC Shakhtyor began the season in the Champions League where lost 0-1 two times to PFC Ludogorets Razgrad.

FC Torpedo BelAZ Zhodino lost 1-4 to Copenhagen in Denmark's capital. The second leg match will be played in Russia's Kazan on 29 July. The winner will take on either Lokomotiv Plovdiv or the Czech Republic's Slovacko. Bulgaria won the first leg 1-0 in Plovdiv on 22 July.
