Belarus’ Daria Khomutsianskaya victorious at ITF 35 tournament in China

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian tennis player Daria Khomutsianskaya (664 on the world ranking) has won an ITF tournament in the Chinese city of Huzhou with a prize fund of $30,000, BelTA has learned.

In today’s decisive match the Belarusian defeated the Chinese tennis player Jiaqi Wang (643) in two sets 7-5, 6-2. The match lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes. In the quarterfinal match the Chinese player defeated another Belarusian, Anna Kubareva (714) 6-3, 6-2.

On her way to the finals Daria Khomutsianskaya defeated the Russians Kristina Sidorova (527) 6-2, 7-6, Rada Zolotareva (487) 6-4, 6-2, the Slovakian Viktoria Morvayova (519) 6-4, 6-7, 6-2, and the USA’s Hina Inoue (237) 6-7, 6-0, 6-3. This is the third victory for the 21-year-old Belarusian in ITF tournaments this season, and she has four titles in total.
