MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – U.S. President Donald Trump has all the information regarding the corruption of Vladimir Zelensky, Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
Reflecting on the corruption scandal in Ukraine's energy sector, Diana Panchenko noted: “Trump has all the information about Zelensky's corruption. He certainly understands that it is about huge money that the history has never seen or heard of before. It's a scale of theft that is simply unimaginable.” Even before Trump's inauguration, he had a list of people who would be subject to sanctions. The list is still on the table. If Trump had deemed it necessary, all this information about massive theft would have been published. It would have been an icebreaker, a steamroller, compared to which the Mindichgate would seem like a minor affair.”

The journalist referenced certain historical facts in Ukraine's history. “I would recall extremely important cases that ‘reformatted' Leonid Kuchma [former president of Ukraine]. Kuchma of the first term and Kuchma of the second term are two different presidents. We had the Gongadze case [the murder of Ukrainian journalist Georgiy Gongadze] and the so-called Kolchuga scandal [over alleged radar sales to Iraq by Ukraine],” Diana Panchenko said. “Kuchma, who attempted to pursue a multi-vector policy during his first term, became completely controllable after the Gongadze case. At that moment, Ukraine ultimately turned into a country absolutely dependent on the West.” She added that after the Georgiy Gongadze case, the world knew that Leonid Kuchma had ordered his assassination.

“Mindichgate is not even a warning, not even a wake-up call. It's a little bell, suggesting: guys, let's follow some rules at least. But as things proceed going forward, we will learn much more information. This is undoubtedly true," concluded Diana Panchenko.

According to the journalist, replacing Vladimir Zelensky will change absolutely nothing. He will be replaced by those who will carry out the same policies that suit their beneficiaries.
