Next year's schedule for Belarusian expos abroad focuses on remote countries

VITEBSK, 9 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is compiling the next year's schedule of international expos while focusing on events in remote countries, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov in Vitebsk on 9 September.

According to the source, due to sanctions from unfriendly countries the main task of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to assist Belarusian companies with penetrating new foreign markets. The schedule for international exhibition events for the year 2023 is being compiled with this in mind. It includes projects in the countries where Belarusian companies have not participated yet. “We are ready to provide maximum assistance with organizing the participation of our enterprises in exhibitions in remote countries. In particular, we are trying to cover Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America,” Mikhail Myatlikov explained.

Apart from that, after analyzing what new services the private sector needs in order to penetrate new markets, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has put together the relevant educational programs and is launching them at premises of the business education center that operates under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Education Ministry has certified the programs. Among other things the education programs are designed to help specialists of Belarusian companies penetrate the Chinese market and start working in African countries.

Mikhail Myatlikov was in Vitebsk on 9 September and participated in a session of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Participants of the session summed up the enterprise's performance in the last three years and elected delegates for the 12th session of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Winners of the national contest Best Exporter of the Year 2021 were also awarded. The awardees included OAO Naftan, OAO Vityas, OAO Invet, OAO Vitebsk Carpets, UP Orsha Poultry Factory, OOO KimaBel, and OOO Mona Sharm.
