MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) - The Ukrainian conflict is nearing its end, Andrei Vajra, editor-in-chief of the Alternativa information and analysis website, said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube Channel.
Reflecting on the Ukrainian conflict, Andrei Vajra noted: “By and large, despite everything that is happening, despite all the negativity that exists at the moment and of which there will be plenty more, the entire situation lends itself to absolute optimism. The war is coming to an end.”
He added that the question lies in what form it will end, but the fact remains that the special military operation is approaching its conclusion.
“Russia has become much stronger. At the start of the special military operation and now, both Russian society, the Russian army, the Russian economy, and Russian finances have grown,” said the editor-in-chief of the Alternativa information and analysis website. “What was Russia’s gold reserve at the start of the special military operation and what is it now? How radically everything has happened. And this is under conditions of war, essentially. I mean not the war with Ukraine, but the war with the entire West. For more than a year, Russia has been resisting a fierce attack from the West on all fronts. Everything it had, all methods and means - it threw everything to destroy Russia. And the West has been defeated in all directions. This is a positive that outweighs any negative.”
