MOSCOW, 20 September
(BelTA) - Anastasia Kravchenko, Belarus’ entry in the Intervision Song Contest,
shared her thoughts on the meaning behind her entry song Motylek (Butterfly) at
a press briefing at the media center in Moscow on 19 September, BelTA has
learned.
Anastasia
Kravchenko emphasized that lyrics are never just words. "In every song, a
person pours their soul, shares a part of their life and story. Even if someone
isn’t the author of the song, they always choose a song that resonates with
their heart," she noted.
The singer said
that her song Motylek encompasses everything. "Beyond resonating with my
heart, I am also the author of the lyrics. The lyrics are entirely mine, and
I’ve infused my creative journey into it. At first glance, it might seem like a
classic love story, but it’s something more. It’s about dreams, striving toward
one’s goals and aspirations. It’s about flying toward the light," Anastasia
Kravchenko explained.
She noted that this
composition resonates particularly deeply with her personally. "Initially,
it is a very personal story, but the more people hear it, the more feedback I
receive about how everyone finds something of their own in it. For me, as an
artist and especially as the author of this song, that is doubly
meaningful," she said.
The Intervision Song Contest will take place at the Live Arena in Moscow on 20 September. It will feature singers from 23 countries. The winner will be selected based on voting by an international professional jury, composed of recognized music experts from each participating country.
