Belarusian People's Congress delegate: The state trusts and believes in young people

The state believes in our youth, and they, in turn, show their dedication to their homeland through real labor. This is why youth policy plays a massive role in the social and economic development program for the next five years, believes Vladislav Zhelnerovich, a delegate to the second session of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress, deputy director for educational work at the Felix Dzerzhinsky Lyceum of Belarusian State University.

Vladislav Zhelnerovich was elected as a delegate to the Belarusian People's Congress from the public association Belaya Rus. The deputy director of the lyceum admitted that this role is both highly honorable and deeply responsible for him.

“Becoming a delegate to the Belarusian People's Congress, I felt immense pride. It is deeply moving to understand that the state not only trusts young people but also believes in us,” he remarked. “Like all delegates, I feel a responsibility toward the people I represent at the congress. The fact that I can now express their opinions further confirms the high level of people's democracy in our country. It is the people who are truly at the center of everything.”

As a representative from Minsk Oblsat, Vladislav Zhelnerovich participated in a meeting on 26 November, where delegates of the All- Belarusian People's Congress from Minsk Oblast discussed the draft of Belarus’ social and economic development program for 2026-2030.

“We had the opportunity to review the five-year document in detail. Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar delivered a report, thoroughly covering all the items of the program. We examined the priority areas, studied the indicators, and tasks for each sector,” Vladislav Zhelnerovich noted. “The document touches upon absolutely all walks of life and at the center of the program are people and their interests. It closely aligns with the outcomes of the first session of the Belarusian People's Congress where we approved two of the most crucial documents that underpin our security: the Military Doctrine and the National Security Concept. Unfortunately, we live in times when it is important and necessary to address these matters. Because, as the head of state always emphasizes, the security of our people is paramount.”

As someone working in the education system, Vladislav Zhelnerovich also focused on areas related to the quality education of children and adolescents.

“Young people today love everything progressive and dynamic, so the principles embedded in the program resonate with them more than ever. This includes robotics and artificial intelligence," he noted.

“Our lyceum students recently became winners of one of the hackathons. Last week, we opened a unique laboratory for chemical analysis and learning in the country, where students can hone their skills in practice and diligently prepare for national and international Olympiads, showcasing to the world the strength of our powerful, sovereign, and progressive state.

According to Vladislav Zhelnerovich, another important tenet of the social and economic development program is the patriotic education of youth.
