Belarus’ budget bill 2025 passes second reading


MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) - The bill “On the National Budget 2025” passed the second reading at a sitting of the second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the eighth convocation, BelTA learned.

The bill was submitted to the House of Representatives by the Council of Ministers and had its first reading on 31 October.The budget policy in 2025 will be aimed at balancing the national and local budgets within the limits of available revenues and sources of financing the budget deficit; maintaining the welfare focus of expenditures, including through the measures to improve the living standards, the welfare of public sector employees, support for large families; concentration of budgetary funds in the areas that ensure the achievement of strategic goals of social and economic development of the country; honoring all obligations on public debt, taking into account the previously developed mechanisms for interaction with unfriendly countries.When finalizing the bill for the second reading, the legal and editorial-technical remarks were taken into account.
