MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) - The strategies of Belarus and the UAE are aimed at diversity enhanced by scientific and technological progress, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Al Musharrakh said at an event to mark the 53rd National Day of the UAE, BelTA has learned.
“Throughout all these years, our state has been confidently moving along the path of progress and development. They have been filled with events, goals and achievements that were first defined by the founder, head of state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers - the founding fathers, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE president and the rulers of the Emirates have continued this course,” the diplomat said.
The ambassador emphasized: “The UAE believes in the importance of international cooperation and always strives to build strategic partnerships that benefit all. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with brotherly and friendly countries and support international efforts to achieve peace, stability and sustainable development. The UAE was founded on the values of tolerance and peace instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His strategy was based on showing friendship to all cultures and peoples and seeking mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries to achieve global stability.”
“Relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Belarus have been actively developing in recent years. Our countries are striving to strengthen cooperation in various fields, with bilateral cooperation rapidly developing in many areas of vital importance to the two countries. The countries have signed 14 agreements and 26 memorandums of understanding in the political, economic and cultural areas. The positions of the two countries coincide on many key issues on the regional and international agenda, including the rejection of interference in the internal affairs of states,” the ambassador said.
