Lukashenko: Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum sets stage for new agreements

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 3rd Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum, held in Vitebsk this year, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

“It is symbolic that the current meeting takes place in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In those formidable hours Belarusians and Uzbeks fought side by side with courage on the fronts against the common enemy. And today there are no dividing lines between our nations, and the strong friendly ties have stood the test of time,” the message of greetings reads. “The dynamic development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan in all spheres without exception, from economy to humanitarian cooperation, is a testament to that.”

The success of joint initiatives is largely due to the active stance of Belarusian and Uzbek women, who play a significant role in promoting and protecting interests of the two states, the president noted.

“I am convinced that the now traditional women’s business forum will serve as a starting point for new agreements, which will undoubtedly help strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and improve the wellbeing of their citizens,” the head of state stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all the participants of the event productive and constructive work. He also extended his wishes to business representatives for the implementation of the outlined projects for the sake of prosperity of the nations of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
