MOSCOW, 9 October (BelTA) – The destructive policy of the West has aggravated the nuclear threat in the world, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, BelTA has learned.

“We see that the risk of nuclear weapon use has increased dramatically as a result of the reckless policy of the West whose actions could lead to a direct military clash between nuclear powers. This is a clear warning to the USA and other NATO members who are following in the USA’s footsteps,” said Maria Zakharova.

“Instead of mindlessly following the American course, they should come to their senses and become aware of the catastrophic consequences that their provocative and extremely dangerous actions are fraught with,” added the spokeswoman.
