Belarus-China cooperation in international organizations discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyung on 19 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“During the meeting, the parties discussed interaction between Belarus and China in international organizations, as well as topical issues of the bilateral agenda,” the ministry informed.

According to the information posted on the website of the Belarusian Embassy in China, relations with China are a strategic area of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus. The two countries regularly exchange visits at the highest and high levels and maintain an active inter-parliamentary dialogue. The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China cooperates with the Belarus President Administration. The Belarus-China Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation is another instrument to promote bilateral cooperation. Inter-sectoral and interregional contacts have been increasingly vibrant. The two countries successfully cooperate within the framework of international organizations providing support to each other on key issues.
