Agendas of CIS summits to be discussed in Minsk on 24 August

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – The meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries in statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be hosted by the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 24 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting will focus on five issues, including draft agendas of the meetings of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers and the CIS Council of Heads of State to be held in Minsk on 14-15 October and the draft agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

The permanent plenipotentiary representatives will hear out a report on the performance of the CIS Council of Heads of State and Public Television and Radio Organizations. The key speaker will be Chairman of the Council Piotr Fyodorov (Director of the International Relations Directorate at VGTRK).

The permanent plenipotentiary representatives are also set to name the head of the CIS observation mission for the presidential election in Uzbekistan due on 24 October.
