Spiritual center of Belarus: Bobruisk Synagogue

Spiritual center of Belarus: Bobruisk Synagogue  Bobruisk Synagogue, belonging to the Jewish religious community, has been designated as the spiritual center of the denomination. The synagogue serves as a gathering place for the community, a site for Torah study and religious rituals, the most important of which is daily prayer. During major holidays, 300-400 people gather at the synagogue.
The essence of spiritual centers is to demonstrate the spiritual essence and distinctive features of each religion to adherents of other faiths and secular individuals. Bobruisk Synagogue welcomes guests throughout the year. It hosts visits from Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Lutherans, and Evangelicals alike. The community has accumulated extensive experience in receiving tourists and also has its own tour guide who introduces visitors to the synagogue. Every year, it welcomes up to 20,000 visitors. Two years ago, the synagogue even won second place in the Religious Tourism category at the Discover Belarus national tourism competition.
Bobruisk has long held the title of the unofficial capital of Belarusian Judaism. The city is also home to the Jewish Courtyard, a cultural and historical park created on the site of the ruins of an ancient synagogue. Here, you can see unique reproductions of paintings by Yehiel Offner. In the city center, there is the Alley of the Righteous, dedicated to the heroic deeds of ordinary Belarusians, who often risked their lives to save Bobruisk's Jews as they were sent into the ghetto established in 1941.
