
DAMASCUS, 21 October (BelTA - SANA) - The Syrian national judo team won six gold medals and three silver
medals on the third day of the Arab Championship for national teams and
clubs, currently being held in Iraq.
The six gold medals were won by Majd Haj Qaddour in the 81 kg category, Yamam Issa in the 90 kg, Bashir Haritani in the 100 kg, Laith al-Aar in the over 100 kg, Sandra Obeid in the 63 kg, and Rand Saeed in the 78 kg.
The three silver medals were won by Qusai Batman in the 55 kg category, Raed al-Rahwan in the 60 kg, and Ghufran al-Turki in the over 78 kg.
