ANKARA/ISTANBUL, 7 April (BelTA - Anadolu) - Anadolu President and CEO
Serdar Karagoz along with a delegation visited on Sunday Anitkabir, the
mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Türkiye, as he
celebrated 105th anniversary of the news agency's founding, April 6,
1920.
Accompanied with a delegation including deputy general managers Yusuf Ozhan and Oguz Enis Peru, Anadolu Publications and Productions Coordinator Oguz Karakas, Anadolu Academy and Publications Coordinator Yahya Bostan and other staffers, Karagoz laid a wreath of red and white carnations and also wrote a special note in the memorial book.
"While our agency carried out its activities as the ‘Messenger of the Republic’ in the early years of the Republic, today it has become a global media organization with the vision of ‘Reporting the Changing World,'" he wrote.
"As Anadolu, we continued to document all aspects of the inhumane genocide launched by the Israeli government in the Gaza Strip and convey it to the international public opinion. The Evidence and The Witness, which we published in this process, became the main sources revealing Israel's war crimes."
He said Anadolu launched Energy Terminal at the Istanbul Energy Forum in cooperation with the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, bringing together decision-makers, industry representatives and experts from different countries, as well as members of the national and international media who closely follow the energy sector.
"The year 2024 was important not only for our global success in journalism, but also for employee satisfaction. As a result of evaluations conducted by Happy Place to Work, an independent consultancy company, we were awarded the 'Very Good Employee Experience Certificate.'" Karagoz said.
He highlighted that in order to strengthen the technological infrastructure of the agency and transform the media sector, Anadolu declared 2024 as the 'Year of Breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence' and accelerated its digital transformation process by establishing Anadolu Technology company and produced a news drone named TEPE.
"Dear Ataturk, in addition to its technology investments, our agency is proud to be a stakeholder of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest technology festival. We are introducing to the world this youth who comprehend your idea of independence in the best way," he said.
"On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Turkish independence and all our veterans who passed away. May your soul rest in peace."
