MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – The new production of The Nutcracker was premiered at the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus on 28 November. The new interpretation of the classic, familiar to all, was created by the choreographer and libretto author Igor Kolb. The production team also includes musical director Artem Makarov (artistic director of the theatre, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan); designer Olga Melnik; lighting designer Irina Vtornikova (Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation); computer graphics and video designer Viktoria Zlotnikova. The principal roles are performed by soloists of the Belarusian ballet.
