MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) - Last night, residents of Minsk and Minsk Oblast had the opportunity to observe a unique natural phenomenon in the sky - a lunar halo. It appears as a sort of misty, luminous circle, with our planet’s satellite at its center.

A halo (from Ancient Greek meaning “circle, disk”) is a luminous ring around a powerful light source. They typically form around the Sun or the Moon, but sometimes they can also appear around streetlights.
