VLADIMIR, 30 May (BelTA) – Governor of Russia’s Vladimir Oblast Alexander Avdeyev praised the efficiency of partnerships with Belarus as he spoke at a session of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Vladimir Oblast held in Vladimir on 30 May, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is a genuine and friendly partner for us. A lot of efforts have been invested recently in promoting bilateral cooperation. In 2023, the region’s trade with Belarus was bigger than with any other country in the CIS. Belarus also ranked fifth among the region’s 102 partners globally,” said Alexander Avdeyev.
“Belarus supplies equipment and raw materials for the region’s industry, as well as final products. We cooperate with Belarusian enterprises in upgrading physical assets of agricultural companies; our farmers purchase Belarus-made agricultural equipment. Companies from Belarus are reliable partners in the construction sector and participate in large projects in Vladimir Oblast,” the governor noted. He expressed hope that cooperation in the construction industry will gain even more momentum.
According to him, the parties also explore the possibility to replace the equipment that was previously supplied to Vladimir Oblast by Western companies with equipment made by Belarus. “I think we will solve these problems with the help of Belarusian enterprises,” the governor said.
